About the Club
The SSFC is an all-volunteer organization whose goal is to provide kids with an opportunity to play organized soccer. The SSFC has intramural programs for Under 6 (U6) and Under 8 (U8) players, and organizes teams for older kids to play against other clubs through the Central Alabama Soccer League and a competitive program for Division II players through the Alabama Youth Soccer Association and US Youth Soccer. . Most of the Club's revenues will go toward field maintenance and field development. There are some direct transfer payments to Central Alabama Soccer League (CASL) and the Alabama Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) for player registration fees, referee’s and team fees. The Club has minimal operating expenses for office space, storage, and telephone service. Whatever's left is used for team equipment purchases and training.
As a volunteer organization, we're always looking for help. The Club depends on the generosity of individuals and businesses for donations and sponsorship of area schools, churches, landowners, and the Shelby County and City government for the use of their property.
